I am going to Lancashire early Feb, Please could anyone give me any tips, of what and where to look for information. Some one told me to go to cemeteries and look at grave stones. Imagen me doing that if it snows! Not that the snow will put me off.

There's the Lancs Record Office in Preston. They have their own site. Also Blackburn Library is good and they open on Sundays. Find them on Familia.

Hello Sally Take a look at Http://www(.)lancashire-ffhs(.)org(.)uk Federation of Family History Society before you visit Lancashire. They have copies of MIs, Births, Marriages, and deaths for areas in Lancs on microfiche which are not very expensive. you can look at them at your local library. They do have Monumental Inscriprions for Blackburn. It might save you a lot of legwork. Shirley
