I now get my certificates from the Registry Office connected to the area I'm researching. I know you can't order over the phone, but you can consult first, it's £1.50 a cert. cheaper and they come VERY quickly. I wrote to Derby Office, posted last Saturday 1st class, they phoned up with a query on yesterday morning and said they'd post the certs that evening, so should get them tomorrow morning. This quick turnround has happened twice now, so I wonder if they're particularly on the ball, or whether other Register Offices are the same. What experiences have other people had?

I know how you feel! I've had a few arrive so far and this week my first Irish certificate arrived from Dublin!

I ordered two on Sunday. I always order on a weekend because I liek to think they will be the first ones to be dealt with Monday morning.

Hi Julie I order 5 certificates last week from different sources and received all of them Friday/Saturday, even when you get them the excitment doesnt stop cos youve then got loads of new people to research :-)

from the online PRO office- it seemed very easy! Now i shall be in a state of great excitement all week waiting for them to come! EXP Despatch is Friday! I just wanted to share that with y'all and i know i really should get out a bit more!! Julie T:)
