As I was doing some "spring" cleaning, I came across a "Book of Irish Names: First, Family and Place Names." There aren't too many family names, but if anyone would like to know an explanation of an Irish place name, there are quite a number of places listed. I would be happy to look up names. |

Hi Gail. Couldn't find anything for Hagfirld or Bushfield. Tried a "google" search and nothing pops up for Hagfirld. Are you sure that's the correct spelling? Also tried a google search for Bushfield. Quite a few things pop up, but as I am leaving for work in a few minutes, I didn't have a chance to go through all of the results. (There are only two "H" entries in the book and neither are close to Hagfirld.) Just tried a google search for Hagfield, Ireland. Oddly enough, the first result is Bushfield Cemetery and lists Hagfields. Sorry I couldn't find anything in the book. If there are any other names, please do let me know, though. Good luck with your search. |

Hi Lisa, Thanks for your help. It is Hagfield. I really should put my glasses on when I am using the computer. Gail |
