GT initialswhat do they mean ?

Could they stand for Great and the numbers relating to 1 xgreat, 2 x Great etc....? |

I am trying to work through a list that was started by another realtive now deceased. All I have are the names and dates of marriage and at the side of each one there are the initials GT with a number, 1,2,3 or 4. What does this mean ? Is it a way of linking the couples together. I'm baffled. |
