Hi all I have just recieved a marriage certificate dated April 1854, anybody out there know what was the youngest a female could marry in those day's, as the certificate says that she (Arabia Fiddy) age was a minor. I take this to mean under 21, and I know that she was 19, but it made me wonder what the minimum age was, as I thought you had to be 21 then. Regaeds to you all. Steve. |
