I've had a few of those too. My virus checker hasn't complained but to be on the safe side I too have just deleted. Its not worth the risk! Babs

It could have been:- Someone sent to you before typing the message (been there, done that, suufered the embarassment). If so, they will be back A virus attempt by someone or something. Did you do a "properties" check. Paul

Marcie: Sometimes those "empty" e-mails are a way for sales people (spammers) to verify whether or not an e-mail address is valid. Sometimes it could be an embedded e-mail that has a password stealer in it. It's always best just not to open mail that comes from people you don't know. Judy

If you "right click" on the message in the inbox, a menu should come up and one of the headings should be "properties". Click on it and it should bring up a box which has two tabs, General and Details. It should show you the senders address in the top box. Clicking on details will give you more info about the message. I'm sure you are all aware, but if you do receive an email that appearsto be spam and in the email it says "Click here to be removed from this mailing list". PLEASE DO CLICK on it. All it will do is confirm your email and you will receive dozens more spam emails! I know, I have learned by my mistakes.

Today I accidently clicked on a site in a google list that turned out to be porn. There was a box inviting me to "click here" to close the page but, being more savvy than that, i tried to close the page. It wouldn't go away. The only way I could close it was to use Windows Task manager (ctrl alt del). I am sure that if I had clicked on the box I would hve downloaded a dial-up or a load of pop-ups. Bob
