Could somebody please advice. There is no record of Grandfathers birth certificate, his father was a travelling musical hall acrobat, so I think birth was not registered. I have found the family on the 1901 and 1891 census and and his mother was called Rose and she was born approx 1863 in Wakefield. I need her surname to proceed, any ideas will be greatfully received. thanks Linda P

Dear Max MY Great grandfathers name was James Edward Cracknell and He was born in Dec 1856 in Birmingham. I have yet to work out how to do spouse searchs on freeBMD, and there are an awful lot of james cracknells getting married, also I do not have an exact marriage date or place, their first child was born approx 1886 in leighton Buzzard.
