Sent off to my MP. I cannot understand why they will not release the 1911 census when about 3 months ago the talk was about releasing all of them before the last 50 years. We had an announcement to this effect on the home page of GC. So I am CONFUSED by the minister's comments Pat |

I received a reply from my MP, Howard Stoate. He has apparently been contacted by a number of his constituents (how many of them saw a thread here?) and has "drawn the matter to the attention of the Minister" He promises to write to me again when he receives his response. |

I sent my message in the evening of the 22nd and today I got a letter from my MP for Woking, Humfrey Malins, to say he is quite happy to sign and has handed in his signature today (26th). Yippeeee another for the list! |

Gary, I think you are right, there was another string. The more people who find out about it the better, it means more pressure on the MPs! Maybe the thought of money coming early into the Treasury coffers will convince the government. |

Dont want to be a Party pooper, but was there not a thread on here about a week ago saying that even if every m p signed for this and every person in the country wanted it the minister had said that under no circumstance would the 100 year rule be waved, and when did the goverment take any notice of the puplic. |
