Jonathan, if you have a large item like that, it may be better to state local collection only. Where abouts are you? I certainly wouldn`t chance posting something like that, the way the Royal Mail throw things around.

Sorry Valerie, I seem to have hijacked your thread.

Live in London ... so can probably shift it quite easily if I tried.

I have found the parcel service very good funny enough the only parcels that have disappeared have been to Canada and the USA, Canada is terrible for that I try to insist on insurance .Parcel force parcels are insured so I dont worry about them and I must say on the couple of occasions I have made a claim had no trouble

have you done the ironing ?????you sound so nice Jonathan it is the same problem I rang my darling daughter she said she has opened a new window and enlarged the text size but it should not have affected my pages and to change my text to smaller but then I cannot read it and the page is still too wide HHHHHHHHHHEEEEELLLP

Jon

Jon Report 1 Nov 2004 16:42

Val, Decided to only iron 1 shirt for today and will iron another tonight for tomorrow (one day at a time now!) hehe. So are you saying that the text size is now smaller, if so go to view > Text Size using the menu at the top of the screen and select 'medium' (I think that is the default). Once you've done that, let me know how your screen looks and what other problems you have Jon

no the text size is the same she said she had altered it on her window but not mine so why is my page too wide now for the screen

Jon

Jon Report 1 Nov 2004 16:56

Is it the same problem as you had yesterday then ?? It's quite difficult to work out what's going on when you can't see the screen from this end ! Does the favourites bar still come into the equation ??

it is hard to explain but when I look at my auctions on ebay for instance I can usually see the item number item description etc all at the same time but now you know the blue line at the bottom where you can go to the arrows and move the page sideways well there is a big gap between them as if the page is too wide for the arrows so I have to slide the page across till I can see the end of the line

Jon

Jon Report 1 Nov 2004 17:04

But isn't that what we sorted yesterday by making your 'favourites window' smaller. Clicking on the line between the Favourites and the main window when you have the 2 headed arrow. Jon

I thought I had but it didnt work today dont worry you must be getting fed up with me I will have to get my book out oh well nothing else to do ?????????????????thanks

Jon

Jon Report 1 Nov 2004 17:16

I don't normally give up that easily ... not been beaten yet! Give it another go, just like I suggested yesterday. Move your cursor to the vertical line between your favorites window and the main (ebay) window. When you hover over this line it will change to a double headed arrow. Click and hold the mouse button down and drag the line (window) to your left until it reaches the size that you want. Let me know Rgds Jon

Okay Val, What's different with the screen than normal .... for example does 'everything' seem bigger than normal .. and I'm talking about the writing, the Icons on your desktop and everything else (screen res set to 800x600 instead of 1024x760) or is it just this web program that is different. Can you tell me what has changed and how it has changed then I can maybe help some more Rgds Jon
