I am searching the Render family from Youlthorpe, Easingwold, Bishop Wilton area. I have Croft born c 1831 on 1841 census......then he disappears. then I have a john Croft b 1849 on IGI...also disappears. Croft William b 1854.... on IGI..then ?????? On 1861 census.............goooooone also Croft b c1854 on 1861 census......then.......???????? Is every Croft child in my family damned to die without trace??? I have not found any record of births or deaths of any of them, other than the entries from IGI. They don't all have the same parent, so they are not replacing each other Any ideas???

Karen There's loads of John Croft's born circa 1849 in Yorkshire on the 1871 census. Do you have his parents names or any idea of siblings as one of them is down as 'Brother'

croft is the first name. Their surname is Render. I guess it is possible that he was mistakenly registered without the Render???
