The 1911 said that one child had died, so this one?

KELLER ISABELLA age 0 in 1909
644/15 169 at Hutchesontown

And Helen looks like Elleanor from that death you found.

patchem Report 23 Jul 2017 18:26

This looks like Isabella coming back to Scotland from USA with Rudolf

Isabella Keller
Port of Departure: New York, New York, United States
Arrival Date: 12 Jul 1908
Port of Arrival: Glasgow, Scotland
Ship Name: Columbia
Shipping line: Anchor Line
Official Number: 115682

She is with 'Randolph' Keller, a carpenter, both are American citizens.

There are then 3 children below them in the passenger list, females age between 1 and 12, namely Mary, Elleanor and Isabel Towset (??).

If this is Isabella's death, she was born in 1868 to 1869

KELLER ISABELLA age 69 died in 1938

There were quite a lot of Isabellas born in Kilsyth 1874-6 - but no Townsends or Buchanans.

But both those names must come from her side of the family.

Perhaps Helen either had a late marriage, or joined her siblings abroad?

In 1911, Rudolph and family are at 488 Cathedral Street, Glasgow.

Isabella, wife, 36, married 9 years, 4 children, 3 still living. Born Kilsyth, Stirlingshire.
Mary, 6, born USA (Ah!)
Helen, 5, born USA (so that birth I posted isn't her)
George, 1, born Glasgow

Helen Keller is still at 19 Burnbank Gardens in 1962 ER.

Snap, just read your above.

Thought they must be born Austria - but where does the Townsend name come from?

This is the only Scottish death of a Helen Keller - but not born early enough to be her ??

This is the only Scottish birth fitting that - but maybe the girls were born in Austria, which may be why we can't find Mary's birth ??

KELLER

Not sure if that's the correct Helen. (EDIT - No she's not - see later posts)

Rudolph's daughter Helen is still at 19 Burnbank Gardens in 1962.

In 1939 ER Rudolph is at 19 Burnbank Gardens, with Robert C Keller, George Keller, Helen Keller, and MARY KELLER.

Robert C Keller has a "D" beside his name, denoting that he can vote at Parliamentary elections only. (whatever that means).

Interestingly, he also married a Scoular:

Robert -
I think you'll have to buy a copy of the Keller / Scoular marriage cert, which will give you Mary's parents' names, and her age.

So far, we can't find her birth or death.

EDIT:
Crossed with your post re marriage cert, patchem!

patchem

patchem Report 23 Jul 2017 16:20

No, no, I thought I had just better explain, as really need Mary's side of the family, and I had no intention of finding censuses etc for James.

So the marriage certificate is needed for more information about Mary and her family.

And how does Vosper fit in?
