I think at the moment.....mine would have to be my 5 x grandfather. He was born in 1760 and lived to be 94, which was some age back then! He was a Trinity Pilot down in Essex which must have been fascinating. And I'd love to know where on earth his christian name comes from - Stonehouse! Lou

Actually I'd also like to have a word with my G x 4 grandmother. I know you used the name Ameiia - but it wasn't your name - WHAT WAS IT!!! I feel better now. It's a habit in my family to not use their 'given' name maggie

I would go back to scotland c 1900 to find out wher ny great grandfather vame from and why his grandad was strollin along arailway line at 3 in the morning - resulting in hin having both his legs run over by a train and subsequently dying from shock (I'd be shock if a train hadjust run over me too) red wine is really bad for your typing.... this is awful!! not going to cjange it, let everybody have a laugh!!

Well thanks everyone for hijacking my thread LOL! I waited 5 mins for a reply and then decided to go to bed - very impatient when I'm drunk! Most of my female rellies usually have nothing in the occupation column so was quite surprised to come across an ag lab but Maggie's put me straight on that one! Debby

Debby, At least you got your information - and we were discussing 'genealogical' things LOL Lunar, Can you imagine the poor wee mite trudging behind it's mother. But I suppose children went with their mothers hop-picking in Kent for their 'holidays'. Teri, So am I (apart from the 2 pints I had at lunchtime) LOL maggie
