Hi all. Just thought it would be interesting to see the amount of BMD certs everyone has got in relation to their tree size and how long they have been researching for. Your Tree size does not have to be what you have on GR as I myself have 148 in my tree but only 111 on GR & the No of BMD certs can include photocopies. Me: Tree = 148 BMD = 41 Time = 1 year 6 months

Anon - luckily for me, some of the ones I'm related to all have a rare surname, so any I find can be slotted into my tree lol The others have been a bit harder to research, which is why I put in that I have had lots of help from certain people on this site.

- c300 names, - 15 certificates (not including 5 wrong ones) - Started July 2004 Lack of funds to purchase more certificates being the main thing that is slowing me down! Tracy, how did you manage to get 900+ people and only have to purchase 1 birth certificate? (I'm just jealous) Sam

Well I have never counted how many certificate I have, to many I think, There's my dad's side I have all the certicates back to my gg grandfathers marriage, his fathers death, then his mothers side of the family, then there my Mum's only got back to g granddad on her fathers side, still looking for his marriage, I have found his wifes family, Mums mother side I am back to the 1600's as they are local and I have all the records for them. Then theres my husbands family need I go on. If I started to count it might just make me think I am spending to much money. Not only do I have copies of census pages but I do have CD's as well, then there the wills. I think I will stop here as I am thinking now how much I have spent. Should have added I have been doing my FH for 5 years Irene

Chris, I'd say you're probably doing better than me. I hold off buying certs unless I really have to. I've probably gone wrong somewhere, but I'll figure that out later lol
