I think that is where Robert was living at the time of his marriage to Ellen. It wasn't very clear on the marriage certificate. Margaret

hi margaret, thanks for looking in. i really dont know but its a possible. i thought i would have no probs finding info on speople but ah well... i know from the inscription on headstone that she was called helen but couldve been spelt wrong? thanks leanne x

hi sheila, i hope youre about. i want to thank you for your time and info, however i believe that margaret livingstone isnt mine, sorry. checked on 1881 census and it says she was born in loched argyll. aaah!! thanks for looking though sheila, i really appreciate it. still puzzled that i cant find her son robert andersons marriage to helen philp and also margarets death on scotlandspeople. i need another thinking cap! leanne xx

no probs flower. Margaret Livingston - born 28th Nov 1827 Dunfermline - parents Malcolm Livingston and Mary Balfour, ref frame 3006 batch no C119504 but it also has that she was born on 23rd nov - so its poss the 28th was her baptism - the one on 23rd was the United Association Burgh Seceders in Limekilns. no trace of any siblings. Parents marriage - 24th November 1821 Dunfermline Frame 4556 Source Batch No M119507 poss mother - Mary Balfour - christened 5th feb 1797 - Torryburn parents Robert Balfour and Mary Erskine (going on the assumption that they followed the scottish naming patterns this is the right family lol)

and the mother - margaret nee livingstone - must have died after 1855 - have you tried doing a blanket search for her - she could have been visiting her rellies. do you have the parents details - such as siblings and parents etc? that marriage would be on scotlands people - as it would be after 1855 - they may not have married in fife though

The parents married 19th March 1853 in Saline frame 443 source batch number M114554 - no other children on the old parish records for them - any others would be on scotlands people
