I am on AOL and, for a change, havent had any problems sending mail out within AOL or to other addresses. One thing that you may find is that the recipient mail box is full - some of them give quota you are permitted to hold - and then the Email will bounce with various answers ! Daft innit ?

Vikki, After a couple of attempts have managed to make ukteca understand what the problem is - had this reply: I truly apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused you. Please allow me to explain. We are receiving the reports on this and we can now confirm that there is a system problem at our end. Hence the emails are being bounced back. We currently do not have the estimated time of repair for this. However, please be assured that we are working to correct it as soon as possible. We appreciate your patience in this matter. We would advise you to try sending the emails through netmail , you may login to www(.)aol(.)com or www(.)aol(.)co(.)uk from where you may try sending the email . Did as they suggested and sent the mail through netmail - and it went OK - even tho it still won't go through normal route. Thanks for your interest. Maggie

Y a h o o . c o m seem to be the common denominator - they are the ones I have problems sending to, and they are the ones that sent the bounce message to b t o p e n w o r l d . c o m about mail to a o l not getting through!!

I was getting mail ok before lunch but now I'm having problems sending. I've also had 2 messages in my Genes inbox but no notification in my AOL box so assume its an AOL server problem! Lou

..and now they've returned to that old favourite - bouncing mail from b t o p e n w o r l d . c o m - just when we thought they'd got bored with that little game!!

Looks like aol are having a bad day!! Now bouncing mail from h o t m a i l !!

Maggie Sorry hun, I just got the two emails back that i sent. Says on the notes in mailer demon yahoo host not found. So it must be a problem at yahoo servers. Vikki xx

hi maggy i had this happen on tuesday, seemed to be just one person, although i,m waiting for a reply from someone else, it kept being bounced back saying ip not in rbl, hopefully ok now marcie x

Hi Maggie The first time i sent it, it said i had been blocked temporarily from sending emails! lol Then I forwarded it. And it sent ok. Then I did a fresh email and sent the info you gave me. That sent okay too. I just put a message in the email that you were having problems with your emails. Hope that was okay? Vikki xx

Vikki, Thanks for all your help - a o l phone help are going to report problem - i also have to mail a o l postmaster - they say they will fix problem within 48 hours - so I guess I just have to be patient!! Don't think it's anything on my computer that has caused the problem - it's something at a o l end!! Maggie
