hi jess unfortunately dont have a maiden name for caroline, what i do know is that fredrick cray her first husband was killed in 1913 in a docking accident, she then married again to a william bourne they had a son arthur james bourne who married sarah candy. 14 brieley street (if thats the correct spelling) is where my nan was born in 1912. Finding this really hard and frustrating haha thanks anyway sam

Have you subscribed to 1837online yet?? You could use that site to find the birth reg for Caroline May Cray in 1912. Her mother's maiden surname should appear in the index. Then you would know the names to search for a marrige between the parents - Frederick Cray and Caroline XXX. Good Luck Sarah

hey jess it would be great if you could look up the 1901 census for a caroline cray who lived at 14 brieley street, bethnal green,london. Her 1st husband was one frederick cray. They had a daughter called caroline may cray born 1912. Also my grandfather was one edward dale who lived at 9 bonwell street not completly sure but believe that was also in bethnal green. His father was also edward dale have no info on his mother. He was born in 1911. not much to go i know but pretty new to all this would be very appreciative of any help from anyone. many thanks sam
