Hello all, I am wondering if any one can help me find the birth of my Grandmother, b. abt 1871 d. 1937. some lovely people, on these boards have spent a lot of time searching all the census, as well as the Scottish one . but she doesn't appear on any of them, very odd!!! even under her married name. Are there any other records that I could check, that might show her place of birth. She is Hannah Elizabeth Walker, m 1.1.1900 Christchurch Dorset, to Samuel Grant, second marrige 11.4.1903 same place same church to my Grandfather.under the name Elizabeth Grant, having dropped the Hannah, I can not think of any other records that might help me. Can you?????? thank you........Lilly

Hi Jess, my brain is like that every morning lol.... 2nd Marriage cerf has the name Elizabeth Grant on it, just to make it harder!!! who are we looking for.......Hannah Grant/ Elizabeth/Grant g..rrrrrrrrrr, anyway. aged given at 1st marriage is 28...spinster....age at 2nd marriage 31 widow. remembering that she 1st married 1.1.1900, so she could have had a birthday that year........so, I am guessing 1871/1872 as birth year.........Lilly

Hi Margaret, thanks for that, but Tracy on the boards had already found that one, and it just doesn't 'feel right' if you know what I mean. that is why I was wondering if there were any other records advailable, so I could cross check it, as I don't want to go down the wrong path, family story is we are related to Johnnie Walker Whisky guy, So many different people have told me this, and what with having so much trouble finding granny, wondering if story is true, and she was cut out of the family Will, as she married below her self. Also Aunt who died last year 3 days before her 100's !! said granny didn't ever mention any brothers or sisters, and she par took 'morning tea' each day with her ha ha.......Lilly
