If it's the right first name and the right surname I think your right..........how many can there be with that name? It's not like Jane Smith or Mary Jones is it?? Now I have a Mary Jones........Good job she married a Titley or I never would have found her!!!

just one thought she married in a registry office so maybe if I called them they could tell me if it was a registry office wedding !!!!! then it would be even more likely to be her wouldnt it ?????

No Val, all the ones I look up are early and they have just everyone jumbled together in alphabetical order, they dont give the spouses surname for you.

What about the grooms fathers name? Even if he changed his name surely the fathers name would be right?

but would he tell his real fathers name ??? I doubt it somehow . Heather its a shame they didnt always put the other halfs name wouldnt life had been easier and cheaper only one ref to look up

Blimey, not arf. You worried me when you said its ALWAYS there I thought def senile decay had beset me last 2 years! It would be great if they could do that for all of them - brilliant. I shall go and have a fiddle on their now to see if there are any late marriages of any of mine.

I just rang the Epping Registry Office and for £7 for the cert they will also check it or me so if they have his occupation and maybe fathers name and the fact they were married in the registry office I might get lucky Thanks for all your help taking Doggie out now
