PS I've added some lay-out improvements to my earlier post so that you can read it more easily. They are all George E Jones! Christine

1887 isn't too early. For example If he's born June 1887 and married May 1920 he won't have reached his 33rd birthday by the time he was married (in fact, not until June 1920), so he'll show as 32. Christine

Angela If you're starting new threads unnecessarily, is it because you can't find your old ones? If so, there's an option to show only the threads you've got entries in - which obviously includes the ones you've started. If it's still a bit hard to see, you can then cut down the list by using the search-function to find one of your-reply threads with the right topic. If you then click on the All Replies option, you can see everyone's contributions in that thread. Christine

I was just having a look on http://www.bmsgh.org/wmbmd in the range 1885-95 and found these. I don't know if any of them looks likely to you? The 1887 one is a possibility, I'd say. Surname / Forename(s) / Sub-District / Registers At / Reference West Midlands Birth indexes for the years: 1885 JONES / George E N / Rowley Regis / Sandwell / RR/88/255 JONES / George E / Rowley Regis / Sandwell / RR/89/205 West Midlands Birth indexes for the years: 1887 JONES / George E / Harborne / Sandwell / HAR/72/481 Christine

Angela - If you have the marriage cert. - you MUST have both the full names and the place where it happened - why are we searching for marriages in 1920? - Am I missing something ? Dea
