So this is the 1901 family?: Frank Gater abt 1885 Paddington, London, England Son Willesden Middlesex Mary Ann Gater abt 1861 Paddington, London, England Head Willesden Middlesex Maud Gater abt 1887 Paddington, London, England Daughter Willesden Middlesex So this is them in 1891: Gater, Forancis abt 1885 Paddington, London, England Son Paddington London Gater, Francis abt 1854 Staffordshire, England Head Paddington London Gater, Mary A abt 1853 Thame, Oxfordshire, England Wife Paddington London Gater, Maud abt 1887 Paddington, London, England Daughter Paddington London Frank (1885) is transcribed as Forancis in 1891, but is actually written Francis, like his father. I should think this is Francis' birth reg (though it's not stricktly the right district, but maybe the family considered the place where he was born to be Paddington?: Name: GATER, Francis Record Type: Births Quarter: September Year: 1884 District: Marylebone (1837-1901) County: London Middlesex Volume: 1a Page: 578 Not at all sure what has happened to Maud's though I probably haven't looked hard enough! Hi all I posted a message asking for tips finding missing relies in the early hours of this morning. A Frank Gater and a Maud Gater was located for me on 1901 census. Frank Gater was aged 16 and was born in paddington abt 1885 and Maud Gater his sister was born abt 1887 in paddington. I have searched on 1837online but cannot locate them. I found a frank 1885 in stoke on trent and maud 1888 croydon. Is it common to put completely wrong place of birth on census? Also looking for a death of a Frank Gater (snr) from 1886-1901 but no luck. Thanks marie prior(nee gater)
