Cas I had the 1861 entry for Mary and her Evans daughter - someone told a porkie! But I'm glad you think the same. But that marriage looks spot on - will add to my list when I have funds to get it. Thank you sooooo much! nell

Fantastic! Cas found a likely marriage between Jenkin Evan and Mary MANDERY - as I was typing up the info I had a flash of insight! Jenkin and Mary's son John had a child called Jenkin. This Jenkin had a son called Edward MANDRY Evans, who was my husband's grandfather. We always wondered about his middle name! nell

Hi Nell...glad to help. Check out this link for distance relation to Parishes. replace * http://www*genuki*org*uk/cgi-bin/places?GLA,SS920690,5,Marcross These are the Mandry marriages up to 1837. I think there is a strong possibility that Edward/Mary are Mary's parents. St Brides Major is about 3 miles from Monknash, check link. There is also an Edward Mandry on the 1841 in St Brides that is a probable brother to Mary. - Just checked this wrong place St Brides Major - sorry You are having a good day ..who said Welsh ancestry was difficult lol Cas

Cas Gosh, thanks again. Yes, Welsh ancestry can be easy - apart from the blinking William Jones, who changes birth county between censuses! nell
