Hi Fern Please could you see if there are any Knellers in Hackney in 1821. Think the family moved to the area after 1811 so I don't expect there will be any there before 1821. Thank you for offering the look-up. best wishes Lesley

Hi Fern, Could you see if there are any Chamberlains in 1821, especially a Thomas? Thanks Lyla

Thank you Fern. The Nortons look like distinct possibilities and as for the Robert Archer in 1821, Robert was a popular family name. Just need to prove it all now! Thank you once again Janet

Hi Fern, Just checked your previous thread to ensure I hadn't asked before, here goes: I'm looking for the names Archer and Norton in Hackney. I bet they won't be there 'cos I've come to a dead end with this lot but I know they were born Hackney. Thanks Janet

I last put out this thread last year (25-01-05) but with new members joining daily I thought I'd offer this thread once again. I have the Parish Returns for Hackney in 1811 and 1821. Only able to look up head of the house. They only provide first name, surname and address and in some cases how many females and other males were living in the house. With the 1821 Returns my book only goes from A-K. Many thanks. Fern.
