BMD's Certificates are difficult to come by as the very information that you seek. You have to provide, to get a copy of said certificates. These certificates are obtained from the Department of Home Affairs. Good luck! The best place to start is The National Archives of South Africa, looking for death notices which is not to be confused with a death certificate. It is more complete and may have the names of spouses and children as well. The following web sites will help you get started.
