Will somebody please fish Jess out of the wotsit ... she's been gone for over an hour! Jane PS: Sorry OC, accidental mention of that ... ermm ... annual event ... just got excited about a project which could potentially involve some sticky back plastic and old washing up bottles ... thus taking me back to my yoof.

There are too many Bev's on this board ...................... If you were referring to my mum Olde Crone, well, I'm seriously contemplating putting a thread on the scary General Board on the subject of 'my mum'. This will be breaking one of my own unbreakable rules about not putting personal stuff on the boards, but desperate situations require desperate measures ...... and I am going to do something very desperate ........ I am going to give up work to look after mother! As of March 1st, I will be an official 'carer' (and gawd help us!) Bet you're sorry you asked now! lol! Bev x

HONESTLY!!! THAT JANE!!!! She takes the biscuit, she really does - and certainly wins the prize for being the FIRST person to mention Xmas 2006! Jane, don't you realize, some of us havent even made it home from the last one yet! (How IS Bev's Mum, by the way?) Olde Crone

Some people are just plain rude Merry. The first time I was sent some genealogical info (from a One Name Study person and she sent me loads!) I was, metaphorically speaking, kissing her feet and weeping with gratitude! She ended up with a long, rambling e.mail from me almost offering my soul in return anyway. (6 months later and a bit more experienced, I found several errors on said document ......... so I sent her them instead of my soul, heh heh heh!) Bev x PS I hope you've washed it!!!

Merry

Merry Report 7 Feb 2006 14:05

It's NO GOOD you popping in and saying, HTHH.....what does that mean???? Out with Bobbin.....well, I should think so too, poor little soul...... Merry x

Bev, What a marvellous idea! No, not the coated kumquats ... the CALENDAR!!! If I start now, I might even have it ready in time for next Christmas. How did you 'produce' it - did you get professional help? And was it very expensive? Regs Jane

Macbev Report 7 Feb 2006 10:39

I made some really nice family history calendars for my husband's cousins last Christmas - photos of ancestors, family estates, fold-out tree on the back page. The American cousin was ecstatic and sent a lovely 'thank you' email, the cousin in Brisbane (eventually) rang, with apologies and among other things , invited us to use his home as a base when touring his State later in the year - the local cousins, whom we see only at funerals......... deadly silence!! You can't win 'em all. If you can discover a connection to my Goulds, Merry, I'll send you chocolate coated brandied cumquats for Christmas. Bev from Perth
