Re-using graves after 75 years

It sounds callous but...after you are gone, what difference will it make? if another person is buried there at least there is a chance that someone may put flowers on that spot, maybe in memory of someone else, but how do you know that that rule didnt apply when your grandparents were buried there anyway?They may be tucked up with someone who's descendent thought just the very same!! jess |

Yes, that's right. You would need to contact the relevant cemetery authorities to see what the position is. But any grave can be opened, moved etc. Lots of the St Pancras cemetery was moved to accommodate the railway. My relatives are buried all over the place anyway. nell |

Just read on another board that after 75 years if no one has paid to keep a grave on that it can be re-opened and used again! Is this right?? Hat eto think that my grandparents grave can be opened again after I'm gone as I'm the last one left in that family Advice or tips on this please Jo |
