Does anyone use the Family Relatives site please? I have bought some units this morning but I am a bit confused. When I ask for marriages between 2 different names 1894-1904, then click search, it is coming up with about 5 each time but when I go to view it is only showing the first year selected. Should it be showing all the marriages that fit the criteria between 1894 and 1904 please? Thanks - Chrissie |

It should show all the marriages, but for the years you stated you cannot cross-reference the 2 names. You have to search twice and hope for a match. Could it be that there were only marriages for that name in the first year, and none took place in the other years for that name? Give me the names and I will have a go... Liz |

Dont quite follow that Im afraid. If you put in an event, year, area (or leave it wide open) then it should bring up everyone on there that match. If its a marriage it will bring up a list of grooms or brides (depending on the name you searched) with the area, date etc. To see if the bride is a match (I think its for all years now) click on the match tab at the end of the grooms line. Oh Liz has just told you it dont work on that period. Im not sure how you can put in two names? Do you mean it is only giving you one marriage at a time? One tip though, ONLY use ONE first name when searching. |

Hi Liz It does search for both the names as the ones I have checked have both been there but it is only giving me one year at a time. I wondered if it could be because the names are so common i.e. Smith and Spencer but surely it should work the same whatever the names? Chrissie |

Hi Heather It comes under the Marriage booster and Marriage match section. I'm beginning to think that I haven't got the hang of it yet :)) Chrissie |

Don't think you can search both names in the way you are saying at that time frame. What Liz and Heather says above is right, as far as I know. Merry |

These names sound VERY familiar....... I seem to think I laboroiusly did these searches on FreeBMD a couple of days ago! Or was that someone else?? What were the forenames? I realise FreeBMD may not be absolutely 100% complete, but at least it's free! Merry |

Hi Merry - You didn't search for them for me, so if you searched for them for someone else I would love to know who :)) Is there another relly out there looking too lol:) I've been looking for nearly 3 years so if they know something I don't...........................:)) Hi Liz - I did the site tour before I started and the Marriage Match and Marriage Boost are mentioned on there. The only place I found it though is on the normal marriage search for the section up to 1920. You can add the spouse as well. Of course it also bring up 2 men or 2 women with the relavant surnames. Thanks Liz and Merry but that will cost you units. I just wanted to know if I was right in thinking that the whole 10 years worth should come up at once? |

I would say that yes, they should come up. I really don't mind using a couple of units if it will help... Liz |
