Who is this person Louise, and why did you give them your email address? It's not someone you have given access to your tree on here is it? I'm confused too. Sam

No I havent given them access to my tree, she is called margaret through genes & she was helping me out with the computer, we emailed through genes a few times & then she sent me a pm earlier saying she had got my website & read 15 pages of emails, therefore she wouldnt be giving me hers, Oh God, what have I done, I thought this lady was nice!!

derbyshire dancer, can you remember how it took you to a website as I think it was you, you helped me with some finding of relatives along with SS.

I don't understand what you mean about a website and emails. You wouldn't usually have emails on a website. Do you have a website address that actually begins with www. ? If you haven't then it isn't a website that she has looked at. Kath. x

I had a feeling it was you Louise. Sorry, I didn't mention it to you because I wasn't sure where you had actually sent me to.? I certainly didn't read any e.mails - in fact I couldn't find any way at all to make contact with you - so defeated I left it !!!! I think ........ I sent you an e.mail to the address you gave me. Then the next time I wanted to make contact, I automatically clicked on your e.mail address and it took me to a website .... which totally threw me ! ... I did try again and the same thing happened again ... so I left it at that knowing full well that you had got MY e.mail addy and if you wanted to make contact you could do. Strange ... that 'Margaret' should be able to read e.mails ? Are we sure that she is not reading comments left on your website ... if I remember correctly (forgive me if I'm wrong - are you some sort of 'protester / activist' for a 'cause' or is this someone else ?? (sorry if NOT !) Elaine ;-)

Louise Report 5 Mar 2006 00:40

in reply to margaret, if you are not the one then why have you posted to the message, & no I am not a protester or anything just trying to do genelogy, I think you must have me mixed up with someone else, to D Dancer, easy mistake no harm done, but I think somethings going on in this system, sorry to anyone that thinks I'm being offensive, I'm not, but its a bit scary when someone says your 15 pages of msgs are available to read, to all this has disturbed me.

I have just Googled Louise's email address, I can see a website where she has signed the guestbook, is says 1 of 15 pages, I bet that is what MARGARET has seen. She is obviously not very computer literate. It is not 15 pages worth of Louises emails, but 15 pages of a guest book - about Kenya Can you not just remove that post Louise? Margaret had your email address anyway, there is nothing on there to worry about. I do wonder why she was Googling your email address though Sam

Louise, Calm down poppet, I can tell your quite worried about this, and rightly so. It was me who asked if you were a 'protestor/activist' NOT the Margaret who has posted a reply sweetheart ... and if you had been, it's nothing to defend. I certainly don't think your being defensive or offensive ... far from it, I can tell your really worried ... and you have every right to be. This 'Margaret' ... HOW was she helping you with your computer ? You must have been having problems, for her to offer help or for you to ask. What help / advice did she offer ? Am I right here - you have sent a member of Genes, your e.mail address, to enable her to help you with a computer problem. This 'Margaret' then sends you a message ( or e.mail ?) to say that she has found your website and has read your e.mails ? is this correct Louise ? I don't know much about PC's ... but I know a man who does - and I can ask him tomorrow .... Elaine ;-)

Hi Louise, I have also just googled your e.mail address. Just to set the record straight. This is NOT the website that I have referred to in my previous post. This same thing must have happened to someone else. There is NO way of gaining access to the site itself ... it's just gone straight to a guest book - which happens to have15 pages ???.... Could this be what's being referred to ? ... has 'Margaret' read the Guest book and said that she has read your e.mails/ messages .... .... this sounds like a possibility. Elaine ;-)
