I dont BELIEVE IT! Every time a new lot comes on Im out. I went to get my hair high lighted and this happens! Mine arent on there!! Nothing for Stepney.

Typical!!!!! my bank messed up my subs over the weekend and i am locked out until its reinstated I have just done searches but can't get at the results I am soooooo cross.

Oh no! Been looking for a certain chap (aged 13) on the 1841 through the kind people on here and just found him on the 1841 - in Kendal Workhouse with his 10 yr old brother. First lot I've had in a workhouse and I'm quite sad! Debby

Have to say, I do think it's harder to locate your rellies on 1841 than the others - but I expect we will become familiary with its idiosyncrasies with time Snowdrops

Paul, Smith in Kent brings up over 7000 hits. Go in from the Home page and enter your details there. When you get the census listings on the results page, click on view all results and you should find that the 1841 is there.

Am wondering if it's already crashed...not getting any details of people I know are on the 1841 census. Have even tried a surname search for 'smith' in Kent and got zero matches!!!

just found my gggg grandfather age 5 in the workhouse with no parents. sounds like the family story of him being abandoned was true thanks for finding it Karne

The children have just come home from school and I need to cook tea ....but then the computer beckons! Let's hope my daughter will volunteer to cook the spag bol tonight!! Elaine, they were supposed to give exact age from 1 to 15 then round down to nearest multiple of 5 - so 19 year olds would show as 15, 22 year olds as 20 etc. BUT some of the enumerators gave exact ages all the way through, some got it wrong and rounded up.

Do a search from the home page, it comes up in the list of hits. Liz
