thats the odd thing iv never found exact birth or death my nan died in the 70s if any one can find her angie x

I'd go with Alice Maud then. Did she die Alice Maud too? It seems odd for someone to say that. Why do they think she had a different name?

on my dads cert it also says alice maud timmis still waiting for a reply of my informer angie x

Why does the person who contacted you think the name is Frances? The name on the marriage certificate seems more likely to be right. I remember that we found the birth of Alice Maud Timmis on an earlier thread you posted, but I don't remember if anyone found her in a census.

Also how old is she on her Marriage Cert ? Cheers...Paul

What does it say for her name on your dad's birth cert?

i have my grandparents marriage cert and her name on that is alice maud timmis no mention of frances,but this person seems to know angie x

her dad was john timmis and they were from b,ham area i sent out few messages to people researching timmis surname cus i was strugling and got home from work to find some one had repled saying my nans name was actually frances and he told me my dad lewis was a sargent in the army which i never knew angie x

iv just had info that my nans name wasnt alice but infact frances no wonder i couldnt find her id love to find her birth and death and any census info if possible many thanks angie x
