Thanks Merry, is the family history records complete? If so then the siblings i am looking for must have been born outside those yrs? (the first you listed was my gdad) Or have different mothers maybe? that would be strange as my gdads bro looked alot like him! As for trying to pinpoint Bertie snr, i can't look any further on the census because you can't get 1911! so i am still stuck at that point.

Looking at the dates, those births must come from more than one couple! Merry

Cor, a lot of info there! Erm, firstly Bertie Bevan - is that in Wales? Do you have his marriage certificate? If you had that you could see what his fathers name and occupation was and hopefully that would sort out which one is yours by looking on the census after they were born . Just seen Merrys info, only one Bertie which may indicate the right area to be looking in?

hi all im in the process of trying to find out about my Welsh granddad and his family. Does anyone know if the surname Anderson is Scottish? Apparently my g grandmother (Rebecca Anderson) was from Scotland, but i don't know how i can confirm this. Also on the 1901 wales census i have found two Bertie Bevans (Rebecca's husband) which have apprx birth yrs as 1894 and 1895. i have no clue to figure out just which one is my rellie! Just one more thing, i know that Rebecca and Bertie had at least three children, Bertie Bevan 1914 (my granddad) and Bob (possibly Robert?) and Margaret. I am trying to find out any info on any of these siblings but am drawing a blank on searching the ancestry bmd page by page. Does anyone have anyway of searching the family history site? i heard that you can be more specific with your searches. thanks for your time
