Me tooooooo, I have been thinking of removing my details from this site because of the problems, we have not got a clue as to how safe our tree is or true ID and card details are. their was a thread on the general board a couple of day's ago and a member who only used their credit card for a £9.95 payment on the internet, then had their card details used to run up over £1,000 of debt I was wondering if the one payment was to GR? My mail went walkabout last year. Some was sent to the wrong people I know for sure because they contacted me. I also had strange people appear on my tree that did not belong to me and I had never heard of. Someone has appeared as a 'hot match' to me today but I dont have that name in my tree. I also have 3 messages in my in box that are not for me. Ellen X

Roy Id be very carefull about blaming gr (without proof) regarding the credit card scam. Payment on here is normally secure, but unless you have a firewall, someone can still hack into your personal pc and gain info, its the same if you make a transaction anywhere online or in a shop....fraud is everywhere. as for the inbox........Its most likely a blip, if genes are working on the contacts section, it may be that its going haywire At least the messages cannot be read by others. Goonergirl, If you read my thread again i am sure that you will see that i am not blaming any one, but i don't think that the security on this site is up to the standard that we as paying members deserve, every day the systerm on this site goes wrong and i see no reason why the security should not be questioned ?
