Hi again Ron, Yes when I copy and paste it into browser it does come up and open then. When I try to open the e-mail this is the message I get:- The page cannot be displayed The page you are looking for might have been removed or had its name changed. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Please try the following: Open the www.jacquielawson.com home page, and then look for links to the information you want. If you typed the page address in the Address bar, make sure that it is spelled correctly. If you still cannot open the page, click the Internet Explorer Search button to look for similar sites. Hi Betty I had this problem with a new computer, the techs had it for two days and finally did a re-install,anyway it worked out that NORTON software was messing up the e-mail. I had so many problems with this and other virus software that I don't use any now. I just make sure I only open mail from people I know

Hi Pauline, I only get this if I am sent an website address in an e-mail, before I would just click on it and the website would open no problem. I have also found when GR send hot matches I can't open them either!! I just don't know anything about computers and don't like to tinker about with them because of this. Betty

Hi Betty As I said I had exactly the same problem. Had to hi-lite and paste to get web site. I believe at the time Norton messed up the whole of AOL's mail to. There was a patch you could download from Norton, you might try that. I bought another Virus Software and still had the same problem so I said to heck with it and now keep my fingers crossed. Go into the control panel and select add remove then delete your virus software and see if this helps. You can always re-install

Give this a try: Fixing “Website Can’t Be Found” and other Site Error Messages More than likely you have trouble with accessing quite a few sites.....particularly getting the message 'website can't be found' among a few other error messages. Try the following and it should solve your problem. 1. Go to START. 2. Click on CONTROL PANEL. 3. Click on INTERNET OPTIONS. 4. Change NUMBER OF DAYS TO KEEP IN HISTORY to “0” and click APPLY 5. A box appears with tabs labeled across the top. Click on ADVANCED. 6. Scroll down to the sub-heading SECURITY. 7. Make sure the following has check marks next to it: Use USE SSL 2.0, USE SSL 3.0 and USE TLS 1.0. 8. Also make sure you check off EMPTY TEMPORARY INTERNET FILE WHEN BROWSER IS CLOSED. More than likely USE TLS 1.0 is not checked of and it should be. This will give you the error messages, as well as a few others, that will prevent you from viewing web sites and the error you are getting. Make sure you empty your cookies cache as well as temporary internet files once in a while, too, as this slows down your computer and these folders tend to 'remember' the errors and may continue to bring them up until the folders are emptied.
