Val that's great! The only thing that concerns me is that on the 1901 census it states her birthplace as Sheerness Essex. But then I get confused as to weather I was born in Sussex or Essex so i know it's easy to say one thing one year and another the next.

Wow this is sheer detective work! Which is good cause it's in the blood... I found him on the 1881 census now living in Islington london and he was a police constable :) Elizabeth is also listed on the original as his wife so they were married by 1881. I've got her year and place of birth from the other census that might help me out.
