Teresa Thankyou, are they likely to show parents place of birth etc or just the basic info. Would a marriage have taken place at the Bride or the Grooms local church do you know? |

My grandfather was baptised in 1874 in St George, Southwark. Mothers maiden name is shown and 2 godparents. Jean x. |

Thankyou for that but before I write I just wondered what info they were likely to have other than the obvious baptism? marriage etc. |

Perranmaid Records from that long ago have to be kept, by law, in proper storage conditions and are unlikely to still be in the Church. I have heard other members say on here that you have to get in touch (write) to the Archbishop of the Diocese concerned, to access any information. OC |

I don't think the R/C Church release their records , so they may be still with the church.... |

Would the local church keep records of the whole family i.e where they where born etc. or just their current location and current events. We are talking approx 1867. As I am not familiar with Roman Catholic church any info gratefully received. |
