I spent an age looking for the tailor, but he didn't want to come out of the woodwork! Isn't it annoying and what about this missing marriage too?? I checked all the dates not covered by freeBMD on the GRO index on Ancestry, but couldn't see anything. Also tried looking for an Elizabeth Crawley (ie NOT married to Charles Macey) in 1871, as I thought maybe the married status was a fabrication and at the census date she would hardly have known she was pregnant. Still no joy :o(( Frustrating isn't it? Just one more bit in the jigsaw and everything would slide into place!! But where's that missing bit? Merry |

OK, I've blown £7 on what may be Annie Harris's birth in 1880, although it's Poplar not Hackney. Let's hope it's the right father and throws some light on the mother. |
