Good thinking Vicky - there are two threads on here - and possibly others - but they slip back eventually, and newcomers may not find them - I have p.m.'d you with my rather long thoughts on the matter. Anyone got an adoptee's cert. for birth name Jennifer Ann, born 22nd September 1945 in Woking Maternity Hospital. Mother lived in Bisley and was named Muriel Ethel M......t If they have, she is my full sister, and I would be grateful to know. Eileen

Thanks for that - not the easiest of sites to use though, is it.

Something that I've noticed recently is that there doesn't seem to be one place to advertise your unwanted certificates. Unless I'm missing something, there appears to be just the odd thread on various message boards, which people just add to. The problem with that is that you have to trawl through lots of messages to see what's there. I'm a website developer and was wondering if I built a dedicated site for unwanted certs., which had a database so you could search for names and filter on births, marriages or deaths etc, would people find it useful? I'd be interested in people's thoughts on this.
