I have finally got my fathers birth cert and can search for his side of my family. He was William shipley Gough born 1 march 1896 in Crich Carr R.B but registered in Belper. I was always told he was born in Belper, so hope this is right cert. His parents were John Gough and Sarah Ann Shipley. Could someone please tell me what the R.B after Crich Carr stands for and why the registration would have been in Belper. Also can you please help me find his family in the census and any occupations they had. Thank you for any help Sylvia |
