Ann - I'm down in Essex but mum is in York so I get up there to see her when I can and could possibly manage a trip to Northallerton when I'm with her . Thanks for your offer Snowdrops and it would be good to meet you Jean as well. If you are all much nearer than me go ahead and sort something, don't wait for me. Have just been up to York so probably won't be up again for an extended visit till October half term. Kate

If you need any web sites for the local archives/record offices i have listed 90+ offices, complete with phone numbers, website url,fax numbers and opening hours on a thread. Thread search for 'The A-Z',there are 3 threads 1 scanned or handwritten certs from register offices 2 address details for the register offices 3 The Records/Archives offices, with address etc Sometimes it's easier to find than trying to google. Ann, Kate and Jean, I go to Northallerton quite regularly and I'd be happy to meet up with you all and show you the ropes if you don't already know them (you may even get to meet my little pixie who lives on the boards too). Northallerton's a lovely little office and they're very friendly and helpful (just don't pinch my seat!!) Just give me a shout and see what we can all come up with. Snowdrops

Kaz in a Tizz Report 10 Aug 2006 17:33

Hi Rebekah I would be interested in going because have never been to one yet but need to ask a question! Am mainly interested in Birmingham area and know it came under Warwicks at the time I'm interested, would the records be at warwick or Birmingham?? Otherwise have only one look up lol Sorry to be a pest! Kaz :o)
