Glen In Tinsel Knickers Report 16 Aug 2006 14:22

A friend asked for help with her tree, gave a few names and dates all around 1900,some Scottish some English. I spent £12 on Scotlands people and found someone on GR researching the same family, result 12 generations for her tree! I spent £7 on a marriage cert to splt two Robert chaps, bashed through the census and found another GR member for this family line.Result 14 generations from a longstanding researcher!! Now she wants her hubbys line doing. Problem is she won't even register with GR,never mind re-imburse the certs or Scotlands people credits i bought. Should i really devote the time again,i know i need at least three certs for this line with little chance of getting it back. In 3 weeks her tree has gone from her and hubby to 2200 names, sad to think she has done nothing for it. Just venting a bit of frustration. Glen
