workhouse census. Help needed!

Hi Valarie. I have tried that but i am running out of different ways to spell Mckegg. I was hoping that if i could get into the census for the workhouse for 1901 i may be able to trail through the names to find them. Oh well! Back to the drawing board. Thanks anyway. Vanessa |

The workhouse will be in the normal index,but a lot of workhouse entries are mistranscribed or incorrectly spelt.Try with the info you know to be correct,but be liberal with years of birth and spellings. Glen |

I would just put their names in the normal search facility it has workhouses too. |

Hi all. How do i find the york workhouse census for 1901? I am not sure how to do it on Ancestry. I have a feeling in my water that my great grandparents may have been there. Unable to find them anywhere else. Vanessa |
