Hi, I have the marriage certificate in October 1920 for Albert Edward Cole which gives his age as 21. I have found a possible birth for him in 1899 in Plymouth which matches other information, but I can't find him in 1901. His father according to the certificate is Alfred Ernest Cole. Mark

Elaine, The marriage is a second one for the bride - as far as I know the family moved from Plymouth to Bedwellty, Monmouthshire in 1920 ish, and as far as I know both bride and groom were from Plymouth. Valerie, I don't think that's the one - wrong place as far as I know. Mark

I found this one - wonder if Harry is a nickname Albert Cole abt 1861 Plymouth, Devon, England Head Plymouth Devon Bessie Cole abt 1861 Plymouth, Devon, England Wife Plymouth Devon Frederick Cole abt 1890 Plymouth, Devon, England Son Plymouth Devon Harry Cole abt 1898 Plymouth, Devon, England Son Plymouth Devon Irene Cole abt 1900 Plymouth, Devon, England Daughter Plymouth Devon Lily Cole abt 1894 Plymouth, Devon, England Daughter Plymouth Devon Rhoda Cole abt 1888 Plymouth, Devon, England Daughter Plymouth Devon Albert - stoker on dredger ? - suppose might have been a labourer 20 years later ? We have a Lily here who could have been one of the witnesses - might be worth seeing if we can find her birth to see if she was Lilian Adline, and also parents marriage to see if father was Albert Edward

Elaine, I'm having trouble finding that family again in 1891. Can you see them? Mark

Elaine

Elaine Report 29 Aug 2006 12:13

Will have a look

Mark

Mark Report 29 Aug 2006 12:19

Ah, I think I've got Bessie - she's living with her father Thomas Beer, Albert must be at sea dredging or whatever. There is a young Albert, but about 10 years too old for mine! Rhoda on 1901 could be Mary R. on 1891 I suppose, and Frederick on 1901 must be Albert T.F. in 1891? So on this basis Harry could be anybody at all! Mark
