I had a set of Army records fron NA covering a similar period.....there were a few pages and it did give some details of service abroad and the reason for discharge...he had served many years and was now unfit to carry out the full duties required...he was discharged in Ireland after serving all his career abroad..... It does not give any details of parents, next of kin or the fact that he seems to have picked up a Portugese wife on his travels..nor is there an Army number. I am not sure how you can be certain that it is the correct person. My second set of army records are from the 1932-45 period and they do give a lot of personal details including next of kin etc |

The 95th were The Rifle Brigade. Try this site for there deployment :- www*regiments*org/regiments/uk/inf/095RB.htm Replace * with dot If you click on 1st Battalion it will give you there location at any given time, you may be able to match births with place's. Click 2nd Battalion etc to do the same. Keith |
