In Dec quarter 1936 there is a marriage for Arthur L Bullock & Lilian M Barber - in Leicester so the 1937 birth for Sheila A Bullock does look likely to be your mother. Perhaps they gave her Violet as another middle name at a later date. So what's next? You've told me you're not interested in meeting any of your relatives, so what is your aim here? You could write to or telephone Leicester register office, or you can do it online here http://www.gro.gov.uk/gro/content/ you can order certificates there. being as the name sandall has been metioioned can any one find a marrage to mr bullock before 1934?

Sandall was the mother's maiden name of Sheila A V Bullock, born 1934, you said she's not yours so why would you want the marriage of her parents? I already looked anyway and found nothing but it's guess work as to how many years to go back from the birth, some women were still having children 20yrs into their marriage. its very unlikely that the 1934 one is the one but if i could find a record of a sandall at all then i might be able to get some where i dont know wether to send for shelia and mr herberts marrige certi then i would no one way or the other bridget
