Hello just trying to catch up with the thread. I think Ada in 1851 with father Robert is wrong person, as I thought our Ada was born around 1870! Still trying to get my head round it. Selena Update: Are we looking for a marriage of Caroline ?? to William Baxendale/Bassindale or to John B

Selena in South East London Report 29 Mar 2007 18:26

Okay thinking aloud here. Caroline married a Mr Bassindale and had the three girls. He died. Caroline then married a Mr Barnes and he died. The grandchildren are with their Paternal grandparents. Just this sound plausible or have I lost the plot? Selena

Joyce, regarding Elizabeth's marriage certificates What was her father's name on cert when she married Fred Bottcher? When Elizabeth married John Jones, did the cert say Elizabeth Bottcher, formerly Bassindale? Just want to make sure we haven't got two Elizabeths?

dutch Report 29 Mar 2007 20:40

on the print out i have of elizabeth it says elizabeth bassindale bottcher but it says now this is confusing that she was born in dorchester dorset england,as when she married mr jones there were married on 26 june 1899 manhattan new york what do you make of that,i think they got the place of birth wrong joyce
