Hi Mhairi Her married name was Godfrey, well i looked up amarriage for an Iris beatrice Bacon and it came up with mr Vivian Godfrey sent for cert and dads name was william Henry Bacon and as irises dad was a William Henry Bacon it all fitted the puzzle unless there are 2 iris beatrice bacons with dads called william Henry Bacon ,it is 99point9% certain LOL Carol

Hi Georgina Its definatly Beatrice , have you read mhairi s entry Iris Beatrice CROWLEY could Iris have remarried i wonder did her 1st husband die same birth date 1933 mine is 1931 but 6thsept paws for thought Carol

Carol I have just searched the full marriage indexes from 1960-1984 and there is no marriage for an Iris B Godfrey. Georgina.

Hi Georgina Thank you so much for that , so she is not dead as no death for her and no re marriage that means i am still looking for an iris (alive) Godfrey that is good news because when i find her she will be able to tell me where my gran is buried Thank you again Georgina for all your help Best wishes Carol
