I was having my dinner sorry, My Nan`s sister was called Elaine, she was born with downs syndrome and died in 1998-99 she never married so her name would have still been Knowles she died in Folkestone Kent. |

OK, that will be: Pauline A Wilson born Folkestone Oct/Nov/Dec 1952 (5b 711). By the way, the reference numbers in brackets are needed if you want to order a certificate. It may be possible to find the marriage of Daphne's parents, Mr Knowles and Miss Smith, but it will be a bit of a struggle without more info. Don't suppose you know if Daphne had any older brothers or sisters? We need to work out a rough date for the marriage. |

Time to summarise what we've got so far... Daphne Winifred Knowles born 4 Aug 1929 Elham, Kent. (Mother's maiden name Smith). Married George E Wilson at Folkestone Oct/Nov/Dec 1948. Rita D Wilson born Ashford Jul/Aug/Sept 1949. Anthony G Wilson born Ashford Apr/May/Jun 1950 Jean M Wilson born Ashford Sept/Oct/Nov 1951 Pauline A Wilson born Folkestone Oct/Nov/Dec 1952 (updated) Stephen H Wilson born Ashford July/Aug/Sep 1954 Daphne remarried Don Marsay and died Jul 2002 aged 72 Boston, Lincolnshire |

Now... this means that Anthony couldn't have been born in the 1940's because there isn't enough time either side of Rita's birth. So.... either we look in the 1950's or (ahem!) prior to Daphne's marriage. |

Thanks Paul, Rita married a Roger and had 2 girls Debbie and Donna, She divorced him or vice versa and she married Bruce mcnally and emergrated to America about 20 years ago. |

Thank you Gwyn, Yes Carol is my Aunt who lives in lincolnshire, Thankyou for your help and support, and i went on that website and found my Nan Marsay, but i could`nt seem to find my Aunt Jean. If either of you have ANY more info then i`d be very grateful if you could share it with me, And yes paul you are spoiling me, it is very much appreciated my dear. |

Tony is def older than my father i`m sure he`s the second child so perhaps i do had it wrong, i wasn`t 100% certain of the dates of Rita, Tony, or pauline. |

If Daphne was born in Elham district in 1929, she may be the person on the tree of someone called Carol, if you do a name search on... Search family trees... on the left side of this board. She has a Daphne KNOWLES born in Folkestone. Click on her name to send her a message. Gwyn |
