Anyone in NSW or S, Qld know of any links with Kedwell and Pool (poole) families Possibly Inverell in the 1930s.

.. Possible links to McManus & Ashford (or possibly not) Not a lot to go on. ANY ideas welcome.
Thanks Arthur

You may have to be more specific about what sort of links you're looking for, Arthur.

Do you mean you're hoping someone related to these families will contact you?

I'm not related, nor am I in Australia.
Just going by Ancestry website, I see several Pooles in Inverell in several years in the 1930's ERs.

Taking 1936 at random:

Elizabeth Mary, Minnie Louisa, and Sydney Noel are all at Urubatta Street.
There's also Victor John, whose address is just Inverell

Are any of those the people you're interested in?

Another year at random - 1932:

Alice and William Poole are at Oliver Street, Inverell.
Robert James Poole is at Lawrence Street.
Elizabeth Mary, Minnie Louisa, and Sydney Noel are at Urubatta Street.

In 1934 there's a Clarence David William Poole at Oliver Street, but no Alice or William

There are no Kenwells in Inverell in any year, as far as I can tell from ERs on Ancestry.
Also no Pools (without an e ) as in your opening post - at least not in the 1930's. There are some in the 1950's, 60's, and 70.

The only McManuses in Inverell in the 1930s are in 1930 - Mark Thomas and Doris Irene, of Newstead.
The only other sign of McManuses in Inverell (per ERs) is in 1903, 1913, and 1980.

The only Ashfords are in 1972 and 1980 , though the Ashford Coal Co Ltd, Inverell, is listed 1908-33.

Arthur ...you could check those names on the 'RYERSON INDEX' (on-line) - it has newspaper death notices - up to present day.

The 'NSW State Library' (on-line) has an 'Ask a Librarian' service - they will do 'look-up's from any newspaper death notice you find of interest..for family names etc.

The 'QLD State Library' (on-line) offers same 'Ask a Librarian' service.
Both libraries will also check their electoral rolls - past & present.
