Many thanks Maylon, that is my James's birth reg, i didn't include it in my first message to simplify the message. I have never thought of looking for James here in NZ because i thought he would have kept in touch with Bridget and her family if he had come here, but maybe not, so thats a "new" avenue i can go down. |

Hi folks I am looking for ggUncle James Kelly. Born in 1867, Co. Tipperary, his parents were Michael Kelly and Mary Corcoran. I believe he went to Victoria, Oz in 1886 on the ME Watson with his older sister my ggrandmother Bridget Kelly. Bridget married in 1890 and came to NZ in 1893. No stories of her brother have been passed down because she was seperated from her husband and children when they were young. I have found her other brother Johns desendants back in Ireland and he had never heard from either Briget or James once they left home. I have looked for James in oz but there are so many marriage and death certs for a James Kelly i dont have the resources to buy them all for a process of elimination. Any ideas about how to find my James would be great. Many thanks Chris |
