Hi all, I'm on the look out for the parents of the above., he was born in Blantyre and died 1974 in Glasgow.
He had 2 wives Hanora Christie 1896-1946 and Hilda Annie Sanderson 1925-1966. It is possible that the name Jennie Ralston is involved but am not sure.

I've done that and got his Birth Cert and from that his parents but, can't find his grandparents on his fathers side.

Who are his parents? Perhaps we can find their marriage? That normally names their own parents.

If its useful to find out where his father was born, is William living with them on the 1911 census? That census is only available on Scotlandspeople. Transcriptions for 1901 and earlier are on GR and other sites.

Thanks, that seems like him, didn't realise they moved to Midlothian.
I've just got his Marriage Cert and what's been confusing is that mothers maiden name is Stewart and not Ralston (middle name).
I'll delve into it in the morning.

You don't say what his father's name is listed as, but there is this entry for 1911 census in Blantyre which seems more likely (Can't see the original but all have the same reference number):
