As the first for entries on the image are down as domestic servants, that's what they were. The names after theirs are 'Inmates'.

The opening entry is on the previous page. The head of the household was the Matron, Jane Gruntley?
Then a Laundress Elizabeth Weston, Asst Matron Mary K Gatton.

The following page (the one with your relative) lists 4 servants & 20 'inmates' with a further 15 'inmates' on the next image.

I found my g grandmother on 1881 census living in the above address, down as a servant. On further investigation I found out it was a benevolent home for fallen women. On another site it was a home for young girls up to age of 18. My g grandmother was 20. Could she be a servant or one of the girls staying there. Any information anyone has would be appreciated. Thanks
